INSTALLATION: 1- Remove the stock air cleaner housing according to the Honda® factory service manual. 2- Remove the intake duct control hose from the intake duct control solenoid according to the Honda factory service manual. See Picture 1. 3- Install the rubber vacuum line cap over the intake duct control solenoid fitting. 4- Remove the intake air temp sensor from the air box as shown in Picture 2. 5- Install the intake air temp sensor into the aluminum back plate with the included 10-24 x 1/2″ socket head cap screws as shown in Picture 3 making sure to use Loctite® 243 on the threads. Torque to 35-40 in-lbs. 6- Install standoffs in the three locations shown in Picture 4 using three ¼-20 x 1/2 low socket head cap screws. Apply Loctite® 243 and torque to 40-45 in-lbs. 7- Install the M3x90mm o-ring into the adaptor back plate as shown in Picture 5. 8- Remove the four stock 5mm Phillips head screws from the stock air cleaner housing. See Picture 6. 9- Install the adaptor plate to the throttle body using four stock 5mm screws as shown in Picture 7. Make sure to apply Loctite® 243 to the screws and tighten securely. NOTE: Make sure to align throttle body bore with adaptor plate bore before tightening screws for best performance. 10- Install the intake air hose, intake air temp sensor connector, and breather hose to the back plate as shown in Picture 8, using the stock wire clamps. 11- Place the gasket onto the back plate using two ¼-20 x 3/4 socket head cap screws to hold the gasket in place as shown in Picture 9. 12- Install the third ¼-20 x 3/4 socket head cap screw and torque all three bolts to 80-90 in-lbs. NOTE: Make sure to align back plate bore with adaptor plate bore before tightening bolts for best performance. 13- Place the air filter onto the back plate as shown in Picture 10. 14- Install the teardrop air cleaner cover using three ¼-20 x 1″ pan head screws. Apply Loctite® 243 and torque to 35-45 in-lbs. 15- Reinstall the fuel tank & seat according to the Honda® factory service manual.
